Victor Romero is a distinguished Puerto Rican pianist, arranger, producer, engineer, and educator with an illustrious career spanning over fifty years.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Puerto Rico, Romero’s love for the piano began in 1971. By thirteen, he was already teaching, marking the start of a journey that would see him become a staple of Puerto Rico's vibrant salsa scene. His professional evolution includes performing, producing, and arranging for some of the most iconic figures in Latin music.
Throughout his decades in the industry, Romero has collaborated with legendary artists and orchestras, including Cano Estremera, Andy Montañez, Willie Rosario, Celia Cruz, and Cheo Feliciano. His mastery extends far beyond performance, encompassing high-level studio production and intricate musical orchestration.
Since relocating to Central Florida in 1997, Romero has remained a force in the industry, producing music while mentoring emerging talent at his music school and Harmony Recording Studio.
As the visionary behind the Victor Romero Latin Big Band, he now leads a powerful 20-piece orchestra. His arrangements breathe new life into salsa, mambo, and Cha-Cha-Chá, blending rich heritage with modern artistic precision.
The Victor Romero Latin Big Band is the culmination of his life’s work—a project dedicated to honoring the golden traditions of the past while electrifying new audiences worldwide.
